Know Your Rights
Nebraska's Lemon Law — officially the Motor Vehicle Warranty Enforcement Act — protects consumers who purchase or lease a defective vehicle. If a manufacturer can't repair your vehicle's defect within a reasonable number of attempts, you're entitled to a refund or replacement vehicle.
Consumer Protection
Covers defective vehicles that impair use, value, or safety under the manufacturer's warranty.
Repair Attempts
Applies when the manufacturer cannot fix a recurring defect after a reasonable number of attempts.
Refund Or Replacement
May entitle you to a refund, replacement vehicle, or other compensation depending on your case.
No Fees Unless You Win
Our team reviews your claim at no cost and only recovers a fee if your case succeeds or settles.
Is Your Car a Lemon?
To qualify as a lemon in Nebraska, your vehicle must have a warranty-covered defect that substantially impairs its use, value, or safety — and the manufacturer must have had a reasonable chance to fix it.

Used Car Owners
Nebraska's state Lemon Law only covers new and demonstrator vehicles. But
used car owners still have powerful federal protection.
Federal — Covers New & Used Vehicles
Manufacturers pay our fees when we win. Zero cost to you — ever.
Our Proven Approach
We discuss your vehicle, its defects, and prior repair attempts. We'll explain your rights and the full process with no obligation.
We develop your case, organize your paperwork, and send official written notice to the manufacturer — giving them one final repair attempt.
If unresolved, we escalate to Nebraska's New Motor Vehicle Arbitration Board — or in many cases, settle directly with the manufacturer before this stage.
You choose your remedy: a full refund or replacement vehicle. In court appeals, the manufacturer pays your attorney's fees.

Got Questions?
No, you may file a claim directly against the automobile manufacturer without help from an attorney. However, we’re often able to secure far better settlements for our clients than the ones they might collect on their own. Retaining our counsel costs you nothing, means less work for you, and greatly increases your chances of success.
Since 1995, the lemon law lawyers at Krohn & Moss, Ltd. Consumer Law Center® have helped over 60,000 consumers settle their lemon law disputes with automobile manufacturers. We also have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. So no, you don’t need to hire a lawyer for your lemon law case, but there are numerous disadvantages to filing on your own.
NOTHING! California’s Lemon Law includes a fee-shifting provision that holds the manufacturer responsible for your legal fees when you win your case. And at Krohn & Moss, Ltd. Consumer Law Center®, we don’t charge for our services unless you prevail. It’s common for other firms to charge their clients for filing fees and other costs related to the case. But our California clients pay nothing out-of-pocket.
A car may qualify if it has a defect covered by warranty that substantially impairs the vehicle’s use or market value, and the manufacturer or dealer doesn’t fix it after a reasonable number of tries (or it’s been out of service for 40+ days).
Generally, you must show that the defect is covered by warranty, repair attempts were made within the eligibility period, and you gave the manufacturer or dealer a reasonable chance to repair the issue. Our attorneys handle all of these steps for you.
We typically start by notifying the manufacturer and, if applicable, participating in their informal dispute resolution program. If the situation is not resolved at this stage, we’re prepared to take your case to Court to secure the compensation you’re entitled to. If you prevail, the remedy will typically be a refund or replacement vehicle.
